Cartoon Network’s hugely popular animated series Adventure Time is getting a movie.  Warner Bros. is making your wildest, weirdest, most wonderful dreams come true by bringing the mega-hit series to the big screen. Finn and Jake and the rest of the Land of Ooo are going to bring their A-game in a feature-length adventure. How do we know it will be their A-game, you ask? Well, in addition to Adventure Time being completely amazing all on its own, the team behind it has quite the track record. The Adventure Time movie will be produced by Chris McKay and Roy Lee, who might not be household names themselves, but their work certainly is. They both worked on The Lego Movie and are hard at work on its sequel, The Lego Batman Movie, McKay as director and Lee as producer.

And fret not, Adventure Time superfans: Cartoon Network Studios will also be involved with the production and the show’s creator, Pendleton Ward will even be helping with writing and producing the movie. Breathe a sigh of relief, because the show we love so, so much is in good hands. We’re adding this one to the list of things we’re officially, impatiently counting down to.
