Mom writes powerful message for a salesperson who suggested Spanx to her teen daughter

One mom in is standing up for her daughter while awesomely preaching the importance of body acceptance, and we could not love her more for it.

Recently, Megan Naramore Harris took to Facebook to write an open letter to a salesperson at a Kansas Dillard’s after she and her daughter, Lex, went to the shop to look for a dress for a formal dance. Megan accompanied the letter with a picture of her daughter looking totally stunning in a floor-length red gown.

“I told [Lex] how grown up it made her look and she smiled, and told me this made her look too old but still, she let me take a picture.”

But then, the saleswoman came in and immediately stepped over the line: She told Lex that if she wanted to wear the dress, she’d need to wear Spanx.
