This teen just slammed Donald Trump’s sexism via song
If you were on social media during the past week, you’ve probably seen several posts involving the hashtag #periodsarenotaninsult. Thousands have been taking to Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook to express their outrage after Donald Trump’s sexist comments to Megyn Kelly regarding her questions during the debate.
“[Kelly] gets out and she starts asking me all sorts of ridiculous questions,” Trump said in a CNN interview. “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever. In my opinion, she was off base.”
In our opinion, YOU are off base, Mr. Trump. And that’s exactly why 13-year-old Molly Bergman, a teen singer and songwriter from California, just wrote and recorded the best song ever, entitled “Dear Mr. Trump”: to inform the Republican candidate to “stop being such a chump.” In her video, Molly adds a little music to the heated conversation surrounding Trump’s ridiculous statements to Kelly, and we totally love it.

Not only does Molly deliver some much-needed words to Trump (“Embarrassing the nation / Time to take a long vacation / You don’t explain positions fully / Your first instinct is to bully”), but she’s a super rad guitar player and singer, and she’s got some real talent. We love that she’s putting them to use via asking Trump to “apologize to women” for his ridiculously sexist comments.
Peruse this teen music sensation’s Instagram, and you’ll find that not only can she play guitar, but piano, too:
Pretty great, right? We’ll be singing “Time to go, time to go, time to go right now,” for ages. You rock, Molly, and thanks for awesomely schooling Trump and reminding him that periods are NOT an insult, and should never be used as such. Here’s hoping that he’ll actually listen to your sage advice.
