Taylor Swift’s look for the Met Gala is a metallic dream

The 2016 Met Gala looks are rolling in, and we can’t wait to see what everyone is wearing. This year’s theme is “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology,” (are they talking about my online shopping addiction?) and we’re expecting lots of METALLICS.

Vogue explains, “The upcoming exhibition will focus on the dichotomy between handmade haute couture and machine-made fashion.” Basically what this means is that we should be ready for a lot of really rad and maybe questionable and possibly bizarre interpretations of LE FASHION.

One look that really stands out is Taylor Swift‘s — the singer is wearing a silver, reptile-print dress and black lace-up heels. She basically looks like a mermaid robot, and it’s dazzling.

For makeup, it looks like she lightened her brows and went for a deep black-red lip — the contrast between her platinum blonde hair and those dark and silver-y colors is amazing and SO very un-Taylor Swift-like.

Swift will be hosting the Met Gala, along with Idris Elba, Anna Wintour, Jonathan Ive, Nicolas Ghesquière, Karl Lagerfeld, and Miuccia Prada. Stay tuned, and keep an eye out for Selena Gomez —she’s T-Swift’s date!
