Taylor Swift upped the awesome on her 1989 tour with the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team
Taylor Swift just took the bestie game to a whole new level.
We’re talking actual, legit World Cup level.
Friday night, the members of the amazing U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team, fresh off their incredible World Cup victory, were Taylor’s guests at the East Rutherford, New Jersey, stop on her 1989 concert tour. Yes, we know. That’s a lot of all-American girl power for a single venue to handle. But things got even more amazing when Taylor Swift invited the ENTIRE TEAM to join her onstage.
This star-spangled rock party took place during the song “Style.” And guess what the team brought with them…oh, just the actual World Cup trophy itself. Here’s Taylor, pretty much acting how any of us would act if we got our hands on the World Cup:
Yes, you guys. That just happened.
It was a big day for the soccer team, who’d just celebrated their victory (only their THIRD World Cup win. NBD) with a ticker tape parade through the streets of New York City.
Taylor took to Twitter after the concert to tell everybody how awesome the soccer team members were, posting in shouty caps, “I LOVE THEM AND THEY ARE THE NICEST.”
Why do we get the sense that the feeling is mutual? #besties4life
