Taylor Swift is giving us ’70s permed realness in these promo images for “Reputation”
Taylor Swift mania is upon us. Swift released her latest single “Look What You Made Me Do” last night. She seemingly ascended the pop throne as the ~snake charmer.~ She overhauled her image and her social media presence and has ushered in the era of the ~dark~ Swift. The internet is going ape-shit on both sides. Whether you are a fan or not, Swift has successfully distracted us from well, the fact that Trump is our president and the internet is a nightmare most of the time.
Thanks to Swift fan accounts, they’d found a handful of promotional stills being used with her new album Reputation.
The promo images truly highlight Swift’s new image, rebrand, and most notably THAT HAIR.

Swift has clearly gone for an ~edgier~ vibe — click through that last gallery for this image.
’70s perm vibes!
We forget that Swift has naturally curly hair, but whatever she’s doing here we kind of love. It’s nostalgic, messy, but very rocker-chic (a vibe she doesn’t usually embrace).
She has a similar look in the video for “Look What You Made Me Do.”
It almost gives us flashbacks to the “Fearless” era when her hair looked like this:

Not surprisingly, fans pointed this out immediately.
In the new single, “Look What You Made Me Do,” Taylor includes a spoken word interlude when she says, “The old Taylor can’t come to the phone right now. Why? ‘Cause she’s dead.”
Well, if her hair is any indication, not so dead after all.
