Taylor Swift was an A+ Maid of Honor this weekend, because of COURSE she was
Taylor Swift has had a pretty big week, what with winning album of the year and throwing some pretty epic shade at a nameless man who tried to take credit for her fame, but she found the perfect way to cap the whole tumult off: as maid of honor to one of her oldest friends!
The singer/songwriter/superstar shared this group photo on Insta this weekend, adding “I met her when I was 10 days old, and him in kindergarten. Now they’re married and I’m the happiest maid of honor ever. Congratulations @britmaack and Ben!”
According to People, the bride in question is Britany Maack, a pal of Taylor’s from Pennsylvania who has stayed with her through thick and thin. Taylor first talked about the nuptials to People in May, and was a little nervous about her duties as the MoH. “I’ve never been a maid of honor before. This is my first time, and it’s really, really important to me because this is my best friend, who I’ve known since I was born,” she admitted. We’re certain she handled her job with her usual overflowing grace and charm, but one thing is for certain, both she and the bride looked spectacular for the big day.
Both the maid of honor and the bride wore hand-embroidered floor-length gowns from one of Swift’s favorite designers, Reem Acra. Taylor’s was a blush-pink column gown with a beaded bodice, while the bride opted for a classic A-line featuring a lace and embroidery bodice, paired with a cathedral-length veil. As you can see from Taylor’s Instagram photo above, the whole wedding party joined in on the color scheme in shades of peach, pink, and champagne.
No word on whether Taylor sang for the bride and groom, however, though we’re betting when one of your best friends is also one of the biggest superstars on the planet, you get a pretty perfect song for your first dance as husband and wife!
