Taylor Swift might actually guest star on ‘Law & Order’ with the OG Olivia Benson

Taylor Swift’s girl squad is quite a group. They’re models, actresses, singers and all-around bosses. What other group boasts Ellen Pompeo and Lena Dunham AND Karlie Kloss as members? We love Cara and Selena, but one of our favorite #squad members is Mariska Hargitay.

It all started when Taylor named her second cat Olivia Benson — because she’s a Law & Order: SVU superfan, natch, and because it’s an excellent name for a cat. Soon after, Taylor met the real-life Olivia Benson, actress Mariska Hargitay, and the two became fast friends. Now, Mariska is hinting that Taylor might make an appearance on SVU!

Fast forward to Mariska playing Justice in Taylor’s ‘Bad Blood’ music video.

She’s also joined her on stage at the 1989 tour.

Olivia Benson the human is even friends with Olivia Benson the cat.

Since Mariska’s appeared with Taylor a few times now, it was only a matter of time until the actress returned the favor. In an interview with ET, she revealed there might be an SVU appearance from Taylor in our futures.

“We just talked about it,” Mariska said. “We’re going to wait until the end of the [1989 World] tour to see how it goes. But it’s in the air.”

It just goes to show that the sisterhood knows no age boundaries — after all, Mariska is 51, and Taylor is 25. But they both stand for female empowerment and support. As for Law & Order: SVU, we can only hope Taylor makes an appearance, even if only in the first 10 minutes. Now BRB, renaming my dog Leslie Knope and seeing what happens.
