Taylor Swift just made besties with a 12-year-old fighting cancer

Everyone’s bestie Taylor Swift just made her fan, Emily Beazley’s, day — and ours, too! Emily is a 12-year-old girl in Chicago fighting hard against non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Like all of us at HelloGiggles, Emily is obsessed with Taylor. We imagine it has something to do with the bouncy beats and positive messages she always rocks!

Last night, one of Emily’s dreams came true in the coolest way. Taylor called Emily and the two chatted like old friends about “music, touring, and her disease.” Taylor also gave her tickets to an upcoming concert and the two planned to meet in person there. Rad!

Emily has been wishing for a chance to talk to Taylor for a long time. She and her friends, family, and supporters, known as “Emily’s Entourage,” even created a music video to appeal to Taylor. Look at her dancing to “Shake It Off!”

Emily is a super-loved girl. Since she’s been battling cancer, many businesses and local organizations have shown their support, lighting up their buildings with special lights to signify they’re on her team or dedicating events and even days to her. She and her sister were even made Honorary Police Officers!

Emily and Taylor, we love you both.
