Taylor Swift had a Fourth of July party and of course it was amazing
On this day in 1776, America’s Founding Fathers signed the Declaration of Independence, uniting the colonies as a nation and establishing our rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Here’s a small sparkler of happiness that will give you LIFE: Taylor Swift threw an epic Fourth of July bash at her house in Rhode Island and invited her whole squad. It was only a few days ago that Tay and her besties were working the catwalk in England — it’s fitting, patriotic really, that they’re back on this side of the pond celebrating the good ol’ USA. Our Fore Fathers would be proud.
Talyor wished her Instagram followers a Happy Fourth with this amazing photo of herself jumping mid-air with models Gigi Hadid and Martha Hunt, the girls of Haim, Empire star Serayah, and her longtime sister from another mister, Britney Maack. How long do you think it will take to Photoshop myself into this?
This fiesta caused me some serious FOMO, but luckily Taylor posted another group shot of her friends chillin’ on floaties shaped like swans, flamingos, and unicorns, making it easier to pretend I was physically there. Tay’s guy, Calvin Harris was also present, and if you look closely at this picture, you can see Taylor giving him a kiss on the cheek. Squee! Couldn’t help but reminisce about the first time those two cuties were spotted on a swan. Sigh, #swangoals forever.
TBH, it seemed like this big bash was partly a romantic soiree for the cute new couple. Before the party got going, Calvin Harris bragged about his girlfriend’s cooking skills, sharing a pic of T-Swift grilling up a feast. “She cooks too,” the caption reads. As in, “She is an record-breaking superstar who just finished the international leg of her world tour … and she cooks too.” Heart eyes!
Taylor clearly reciprocates the adoration. Exhibit A: Calvin gave her a piggyback ride while she affectionately nuzzled him. “Friendly relations between Scotland and America,” she wrote on Instagram.
ABS-olutely adorable.
Have you ever felt more patriotic in your life?
