Taylor Swift invited 2,000 foster kids to watch her perform over the weekend, and the pics are everything
If you happen to follow Taylor Swift on Instagram, you probably already know that the pop star has been preparing for her latest stadium tour with non-stop rehearsals, which she often shares via her Stories. In typical Swift fashion, she also put together a big surprise for some of her fans, in one behind-the-scenes moment you won’t see on her social media channels. This past weekend, Swift invited 2,000 foster kids to watch her perform.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Swift threw a huge rehearsal/pizza party for a group of foster kids and their foster parents. They were invited to attend her final tour dress rehearsal on Saturday, May 5th, at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona, where they watched Swift run through her entire show and then enjoyed some free pizza.
Cameras weren’t allowed during the performance, but Swift did make time for photo opps during the meet-and-greet portion of the evening. A ton of the foster parents shared photos on Instagram and raved about how happy the entire night made the kids.

Some of the attendees also tweeted about the night, saying it couldn’t have been better:

Genuine. She won everyone’s heart. Not a single complaint. It was above and beyond what anyone expected!

This isn’t the first time Swift has given back to her younger fans — in fact, it wasn’t even the only recent example in Phoenix. Last week, Swift visited 8-year-old Isabella McCune, a fan who was in an accident that left her with burns over 65 percent of her body. Isabella has been listening to Swift’s music during her recovery, but her injuries will prevent her from seeing Swift’s opening show. So, Swift came to her.
Fans everywhere were touched by Swift’s generosity and the way she included so many younger fans who wouldn’t normally get the chance to see her perform live.
its impossible to love @taylorswift13 more but when she invites 2000 foster and adoptive families to her last dress rehearsal of the #reputationStadiumTour for FREE and buys them food and meets EVERYONE afterwards then u know u just love her about 1000000x more

No words will adequately express how much it means to me that @taylorswift13 did something so special last night for foster/adopted kids. Having worked at a residential treatment center with the majority of the kids being in foster care, I KNOW how special this was for them.
