Taylor Swift’s “End Game” video is actually full of tiny tributes to Joe Alwyn

Even though the 28-year-old has yet to confirm the fact that she’s seeing someone, basically everyone knows that Taylor Swift has a boyfriend and that they’re totally in love. Yes, Swift and her new boyfriend certainly seem to be end game, which explains why she subtly dedicated her newest music video to him. Honestly, as much as it is a fun and lighthearted music video, Taylor Swift’s “End Game” video is actually full of tiny tributes to Joe Alwyn. And no, I’m not crying, you are.

No matter how you feel about Swift, if you’re a fan or not a fan, her talent and her success are indisputable. What’s also indisputable is the fact that it’s so nice to see her in love and happy. Because even though Swift has been unfairly slut-shamed for so long, she’s found a way to move past it all and focus on her new relationship. Seriously, Swift and her boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, are clearly in love and she’s mentioned him several times in her new album, Reputation. 

So, while her new music video for “End Game” is certainly entertaining and full of excitement, Ed Sheeran, and parties, it’s also totally about Alwyn. From the location to the tiniest details, the video is all about Swift finally being in an end game relationship.

However, if you aren’t a dedicated Swiftie like myself, then it might be hard to pick up on all of her dedications to Alwyn. But, trust me, they’re there.

First of all, the video obviously takes place on New Year’s Eve all around the world. Swift is seen partying in Miami, Tokyo, and (last but certainly not least) London. But why does that matter? Well, Swift’s most heartfelt song on her new album is called “New Year’s Day” and lines like “there’s glitter on the floor after the party,” and “you and me forevermore,” certainly paint a vivid picture. Also worth noting? In the “End Game” music video, the last shot is of Swift in London, where her boyfriend lives, on New Year’s Day.

But that’s not the only sweet detail from the video. In another one of Swift’s songs from Reputation, “Call It What You Want,” Swift mentions a necklace with an initial on it. Specifically, “I want to wear his initial on a chain ’round my neck,” she sings. Now, fans have already pointed out that Swift has been seen wearing a necklace with a “J” on it, meaning that she and Alwyn are definitely an item. false

And while it isn’t a huge plot point in the video, Swift can be seen wearing that same necklace in several scenes.

Oh, and one more thing. While the video is shot in three different cities, London is also of special significance, obviously (it’s where Alwyn lives, remember?). And Swift makes certain that she pays tribute to the city in the best way she can. According to an anonymous source who spoke to The Telegraph, “The video shows Taylor on a night out. All of the locations are places she has been to with Joe.”

Clearly, Swift is trying to melt all of our hearts, and she’s doing a darn good job of it.
