The internet is grossed out by Taylor Swift’s answer to “Do you wash your legs in the shower?”

Taylor Swift inadvertently inspired a major internet debate on Wednesday, May 15th, when she appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and shared a detail about her personal hygiene habits. Specifically, during a Q&A game, DeGeneres asked, “Do you wash your legs in the shower?” And Swift’s response was polarizing, to say the least.

"I do because when you shave your legs, the shaving cream is like soap, right?" Swift responded.

DeGeneres agreed with the “Me!” singer, stating that women who shave are, in fact, washing their legs because of the shaving cream. And shaving cream is a form of soap—right?

Even though Swift stated that she must be “on the right side of history” due to the fact she washes while she shaves, many on the internet disagree. According to these Twitter users, shaving and washing are not the same, Tay.

Swift basically started a whole thing.

And yes, someone made a tutorial about leg washing.

However, Swift isn’t the only one using the shaving cream rationale. false
