You can virtually attend an intimate Taylor Swift concert for free this weekend
Swifties: You’re in for a treat this weekend. Although Taylor Swift’s summer concert series, Lover Fest, was canceled due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the singer is finding another way for fans to watch her perform. Swift is releasing a one-hour concert special of her first live performance of Lover in Paris. So, mark your calendars for May 17th, when you can sing and dance to the glittery bops and swoon-worthy ballads of Lover right along with Taylor herself.
The one-hour concert special will air on ABC at 10 p.m. ET, but if you can’t catch the live premiere (we’re all super busy during quarantine, right?), the performance will be available to stream on May 18th on Disney+ and Hulu.
The intimate concert was filmed in September 2019 at the L’Olympia Theater in Paris, which holds just under 2,000 people.
We can only imagine that watching this show will feel like we’re in the cozy space with Swift, who makes every performance feel personal.
The singer announced the news on May 8th on Twitter.”Excited to announce the City of Lover Concert! We filmed my show in Paris in September and thought it’d be fun to share it with you May 17 at 10p ET on @abcnetwork and available the next day on @hulu and @disneyplus! #TaylorSwiftCityOfLover,” she wrote.

Not only will the Lover concert special include performances of Swift’s songs, but fans will also see behind-the-scenes moments of Taylor in Paris.
We’re crossing our fingers that Meredith, Olivia, and Benjamin Button make an appearance during these personal moments. Some cute interactions between Swift and her furry felines would definitely brighten our moods. Oh, and maybe Joe Alwyn will show up? The concert is in the City of Love, after all.
Regardless, we’re looking forward to watching Taylor Swift’s only concert performance of the year and belting out the lyrics to every song from our living rooms on Sunday, May 17th.
