Taylor Swift was in “13 Reasons Why,” but it’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment
Taylor Swift is such a megastar, sometimes it seems like she’s everywhere we look. And sometimes, she actually is. Case in point: Taylor Swift was actually in 13 Reasons Why.
The singer, who recently uploaded her music whose music just returned to Spotify, is Tay-lurking in the popular Netflix drama, and we almost totally missed it.
One user on Tumblr — a sharp-eyed Swiftie if ever there was one — noticed that in one scene of episode 10, Taylor appears in the background.
As Teen Vogue points out, the moment comes during the scene where Tyler is talking to Sheri in the hallways of Liberty High. In a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment, you can clearly see a poster for TayTay’s album, 1989.

Okay, so while Taylor doesn’t actually have a role in the show, it’s a pretty cool little thing to notice, especially as the show was executive produced by the singer’s BFF, Selena Gomez.
This is of particular note because in Selena Gomez’s most recent video for “Bad Liar,” Taylor Swift’s image can, again, be seen on a poster in the background.

Given that Selena and Tay are close, it’s pretty cool to see Selena plant these little Easter eggs for her friend. We love that these two are constantly supporting each other, and these shout-outs are pretty rad.

Speaking of cameos in 13 Reasons Why, Selena Gomez recently spoke about whether she might make an appearance in the Netflix drama, which just started filming its second season.
“I don’t know,” she said, “people always ask me that, I haven’t really thought about it.” false
We’ve gotta say, we’d absolutely love it if both she and Taylor Swift made an appearance on 13 Reasons Why. Hey, we can dream, right?
