Taco Bell is now making a burrito full of French fries

Stop everything, because we have big fast food news: Taco Bell is now making a french fry-filled burrito. According to FoodBeast, Taco Bell is calling this calorie conglomerate the “California Loaded Fries Burrito,” and you can get one for $1.99. And this is almost too good to be true.

French fries and burritos have a long history. San Diego reportedly lays claim to the OG California Burrito. The classic recipe includes guacamole, meat, cheese, salsa, and of course, french fries. FoodBeast reports that Taco Bell’s version swaps out shredded cheese for their signature nacho cheese and sour cream.

Before you speed to your local Taco Bell to order one — or ten — we should warn you that the Loaded Fries Burrito is currently only available in Taco Bell locations in Charleston, West Virginia.

Le sigh.

The burrito is still in its test phase alongside two other versions. If you like a bit of heat, you can try the Chipotle Loaded Fries Burrito which contains Taco Bell’s chipotle sauce instead of guac. Alternatively, you can simplify the California version by ordering the Supreme Loaded Fries Burrito, which has neither guac nor chipotle sauce.

All three burritos can be purchased alone, or as part of a $5 box, which includes a Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Taco, a crunchy taco, and a medium drink.

This isn’t the first time Taco Bell has put French fries on their menu. Last year, Taco Bell tested out their Nacho Fries. A small order of these seasoned delights came with a nacho cheese dipping sauce. A large order came doused with nacho cheese, sour cream, tomatoes, and meat.

Hopefully, for the sake of everyone living outside of West Virginia, Taco Bell will decide to roll out their Loaded Fries Burritos to locations across the country. Our French-fry-loving fingers are crossed.
