The top five ordered foods at Taco Bell have been revealed, and you’ve totally noshed on all of them
Though our order tends to be “two of literally everything you have, please” whenever we pull up to the drive-thru, Taco Bell’s official five most popular menu items of 2016 list actually makes a whole world of sense for those of us who like to think beyond the bun. A lot.
The site Brand Eating revealed the official list of TB’s chosen five (while Thrillist confirmed its accuracy with Taco Bell’s reps), and it basically confirms what you might have guessed — that the fast food chain’s cheapest items are its most ordered, because why have one Doritos Cheesy Gordita Crunch for $3.19 when you can have two delicious and (not-so) nutritious Crunchy Tacos for $1.19 apiece, with change to spare? (Because the Doritos Cheesy Gordita Crunch tastes like heaven, that’s why.)
Here’s the full list below:
5. Nachos
4. Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Taco
3. Bean Burrito
2. Soft Taco
1. Crunchy Taco
All five of these items cost under $2 each, though as Thrillest pointed out, the Soft Taco will set you back $2.49 if you get it with grilled steak. (Which you should, because life is short and you deserve to be happy.)
We personally feel like the Crunchwrap Supreme, the Quesalupa, the Chicken Quesadilla, and the Double Stacked Taco — true culinary gems that we as a people do not collectively deserve — were robbed, but hey, there’s always next year.
… And in the meantime we’ll be right here at our desks, dreaming day and night about Taco Bell.
