Get ready, breakfast lovers: Cap’n Crunch donut holes are coming to a Taco Bell near you
A few months back, we heard that Taco Bell was going to test out a new breakfast dessert “Cap’n Crunch Delights” at select Taco Bells in Bakersfield, CA. If the experiment proved successful, the fast food chain would unleash these warm doughnut holes filled with sweet milk frosting and encrusted in our favorite childhood cereal onto the world.
As it turns out, “Cap’n Crunch Delights” were too awesome for Bakersfield to keep to itself. As USA Today reports, Taco Bell announced yesterday that they will be selling these delightful doughnut holes nationwide starting July 2nd. The announcement on Friday PERFECTLY coincided with National Doughnut Day. We see what you did there, Taco Bell, well played, friend, well played.
“Cap’n Crunch Delights” will be offered in packs of 2 for $1.00, 4 for $1.69 or 12 for $4.49. We cannot imagine rolling up to the drive-thru window and ordering TWELVE of these bad boys (unless we had twelve friends stuffed in our backseat), even two of these sounds like A LOT of dessert to us. Whatever, sweets were made for sharing and we’re always excited to see experimentation on the dessert scene.
Taco Bell is by no means done with playing around with their menu. Their other big announcement this week is that Taco Bell is going to start selling beer, wine, and spiked freezes at a franchise that will open in Chicago’s Wicker Park this summer.
We love the way you think, Taco Bell Menu, you just keep doing you.
