My blemish-prone skin is always going through it. Between daily stressors, work-out-induced acne, and the unavoidable "maskne," waking up to a new crop of blemishes every day is just as much of a ritual as my morning cup of coffee. I've rotated between acne serums, diluted tea tree oil, and pore-minimizing cleansers, but my unpredictable complexion always seemed to triumph. That is, until I discovered Avarelle Acne Pimple Patches, which have quickly become a staple in my nighttime regimen.

The 40-pack of individual spot treatments have been called "miracle workers" by Amazon reviewers, and I couldn't agree more. While they don't seem like anything fancy, their overnight transformative powers are shocking. Each hydrocolloid patch is infused with tea tree oil, calendula oil, and cica that work together to absorb excess oil and gunk from pimples of all sizes. It's ultra-strong adhesive ensures the patch won't ever fly off prematurely—I've even showered with several on my face, and not one budged.

Shop it! $8 (orig. $11), amazon.com

The brand recommends you apply the patches to clean, dry skin, and leave on for a minimum of six hours. I decorate my face with them based on how badly a given zit is—the pack comes with three different sized patches to accommodate minor to monstrous blemishes. They are painless to remove after time is up, and dare I say, it's even quite satisfying to see all the gunk that's been sucked out of each spot.

With over 28,000 perfect ratings from shoppers, people everywhere are waking up to clearer, smoother skin. One person said the patches work so well on their cystic acne, they've even saved them "extra trips to the dermatologist," while another claims the affordable treatment even works on large bumps, abscesses, and boils. Other shoppers love that you can hardly feel them on your face, and are invisible enough to wear during the day.

"I suffered from horrible acne from age 10 and tried everything, including Accutane," wrote one reviewer. "At the start of the pandemic, I got lazy with my routine since I was staying home more and was touching my face a lot, which all resulted in horrible acne breakouts. I had some cystic acne bumps along my jaw and under my jaw and cheeks. I tried these out and they worked! You can see the fluid come into the patch, and I immediately felt relief from the inflammation."

Since adding these to my routine, I've woken up with less blemishes across my cheeks, forehead, and chin, and I cannot recommend them enough as an immediate solution to acne. The Avarelle Acne Pimple Patches are available on Amazon for $8 a pack right now—and don't miss the brand's equally worthy additional treatments.
