Sutton Foster admits she had a huge “Gilmore Girls” crush

Famous people, they’re just like us: Not only did actress Sutton Foster religiously watch Gilmore Girls in the aughts, but she also had a crush on one of the cast members. Umm…are we living parallel lives?

The star of TV Land’s Younger recently revealed which one of Rory’s boyfriend’s she crushed on in the 2000s. Kind of unsurprisingly, it turns out to be Milo Ventimiglia — the Heroes actor who played Luke’s bad-boy nephew Jess Mariano on Gilmore Girls.

“I had such a crush on him. I journal and cut things out from magazines for inspiration, and I was going through old journals and out fluttered a photo of Milo,” Sutton told Us Weekly. “I wasn’t a teenage girl. I was in my late twenties when this happened!”

Sutton has been cast in Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life as an actress in a Stars Hollow musical — a longtime dream of hers, given her GG fangirl status.

“There was something about [Milo] and Rory and Jess,” Sutton continues. “I mean, I liked Dean too. I was never a big fan of Logan. But Jess was always my favorite. He was—there was something about their chemistry together.”

Girl, we know. Sure, Dean was also drop-dead gorgeous — and great with adults, like any stand-up boyfriend — but there’s something about Jess’s brooding look that made us swoon. Alexis Bledel and Milo dated in real life from 2002 to 2006, so it seems like she was into his tough-guy act as well!

It appears that Milo will be reprising his role as Jess in the Netflix revival, so hopefully we’ll all get to see a little more of that chemistry one more time. As for Sutton…we really, really hope she got to meet Milo!
