The Tony winner and her husband, Ted Griffin, welcomed their first child together, and her name is so classic you’ll want to scream. After all, with a name like Sutton Foster, you never know what she’d name her child.
Unlike other celebrities who choose some pretty unique names for their kids, Sutton and Ted went the classic route.
Their bundle of joy is named Emily Dale, and you can start crying from happiness now.
Sutton Foster and screenwriter Ted Griffin got engaged back in 2013 and made it official in October 2014. Their wedding ceremony took place in Santa Barbara. Now they can happily add another special date to their calendars with the arrival of Emily Dale in March 2017.
As a working actress and a career-oriented person, Sutton explained her decision to have children later in life.
“I’ve really focused on career most of my life and so now I’m transitioning into where my priorities and my ambitions are more personal, she told People.
It seems like waiting really worked for the Bunheads star. Not only is she well-established in her career, she is now a mother.
Emily Dale will have a mother we are all envious of. Sutton has played roles in some of our favorite television shows, from Gilmore Girls: A Year In A Life to Younger. Emily will have no shortage of fun around the house. Not to mention, Sutton has two adorable dogs that will be Emily’s furry friends.
