This surprise wedding dance is the best thing you’ll see this week
Let’s be real: By far one of the best parts of any given wedding is the dance party portion of the evening. Whether it’s at a reception hall or a backyard, busting a move in the name of love is always a good time. And the best way to get the festivities started? With a surprise dance, like the one Kirk Henning put together for his bride, Valerie Tellmann-Henning.
The Richmond, Virginia couple are both professional dancers, so this isn’t your average spontaneous dance number. And in fact, the epic moves were performed on the very stage Kirk and Valerie performed together on with the Richmond Ballet.
“I told him early on in the wedding planning process, ‘Well, I hope you’re working on your groomsmen dance for me,’” Tellmann-Henning told the Richmond Times-Dispatch. “But he was so busy with touring and school, he said, ‘Valerie, it’s just not going to happen.’” But, oh, it happened.
Kirk and his groomsmen seriously get down to a few songs during the medley, including “Uptown Funk,” “Crazy,” “Danger Zone.” What’s a wedding without a little Kenny Loggins, am I right? Check out their awesome choreography below!
