Two ladies we love just released kick-ass music videos. Yeah, it’s a good day.

I know what you’re thinking: “1989” is everything you’ll ever need. (And you’re probably right.) But it’s good to mix things up every now and then. Today, the pop music gods have gifted us not one but TWO new music videos from some of our favorite ladies in the business: Selena Gomez and Lorde. The songs have catchy hooks, and the videos make them ever better.

As if it was possible to be more excited about The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I, Lorde upped the ante today with her video for “Yellow Flicker Beat,” the first single from the Mockingjay soundtrack. Bonus: Lorde’s dance moves and updo are on point. Oh, and tomorrow is her 18th birthday!

In “The Heart Wants What It Wants” Selena Gomez is a beauty in black and white. The video starts with what feels like a tear-stained page from her diary, recapping feelings and details from crucial relationship moments. Bieber, is that you?

Throughout the video (between cries and canoodles),“The Heart Wants What It Wants” takes a stand against the haters who diss her relationship and the gossip that constantly circles it. Whatever your stance on the power couple, good for her for putting it all out there. Plus, we can all agree that her makeup is flawless. Can somebody make my eyes look like that? Thanks.
