Supergirl (AKA, Melissa Benoist) finally met Wonder Woman IRL, and now our hearts are full

When superheroes collide IRL, the world gets a little bit safer. Or at least in our minds in does.

Supergirl and Wonder Woman have finally met, and all just feels right in the world.

Melissa Benoist (AKA Supergirl) and Lynda Carter (AKA Princess Diana of Themyscira/Wonder Woman in the classic 1970s Wonder Woman TV show) met while filming the newest season of Supergirl.

Benoist documented the epic moment on Instagram. “Met a wonderful woman today @reallyndacarter,” she wrote. We see what you did there, Benoist — and we dig it.

You guys, all of this means that Wonder Woman is going to be on Supergirl!!!

And not just one episode. According to Carter — she’s joining the cast for the entire new season!

“So excited to be joining the new season of @supergirlofficial on @thecw as the #President Xo,” she announced via Instagram.

Wonder Woman isn’t the only superhero flying through Supergirl this season — Superman will also be making an appearance. Teen Wolf star Tyler Hoechlin will make his debut as Kara’s cousin Clark Kent.

Supergirl is obviously pulling out the big guns for Season 2, and we’re definitely not mad about it (there will also be a musical cross-over episode with Supergirl and The Flash… so yeah, big guns).

Season 2 premieres Monday, October 10 on The CW.
