We super can’t wait for this Amy Schumer mother-daughter comedy
It’s about time Amy Schumer started starring in every single movie under the sun, right? While we’re not at the point where she’s in every movie, at least we’re inching towards that goal. Now, she’s got another one lined up, and it already sounds amazing. Schumer’s going to be in a mother-daughter comedy!
This news actually gets better, as if the idea of an Schumer female-centric movie isn’t great enough alone. Schumer and her sister, Kim Caramele, are tweaking a script originally written by Katie Dippold, who wrote The Heat and is working with Paul Feig on the new Ghostbusters. Oh yeah, let’s throw Fieg into this mix, too, shall we? He’s going to produce the film, alongside Schumer and Caramele. Now, quickly remember all the awesome movies Feig has done — like Bridesmaids, and the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot — and now imagine the beautiful movie he and Schumer will make together.
Schumer will star in the movie, and so far no one else is attached to the project. Hollywood Reporter, who first reported the new movie, offered up a tiny little tease for the plot: It’ll revolve around “a mother-daughter duo trapped in a vacation gone wrong.” Well, I’ve been in that situation before, so I’ll be first in line to see this film opening day.
The still-untitled project doesn’t have a shooting schedule, let alone a release date. So, let’s pass the time until it’s in theaters by re-watching brilliant Inside Amy Schumer sketches, mmmk?
