You could get paid $10,000 to snap sunset photos all summer, and yes, this is a real job opportunity
If you’re in search of the perfect summer job, here’s an idea: You could get paid $10,000 to snap sunset photos all summer long for Days Inn. This is not a drill! It’s a real job opportunity, and yes, it’s just as incredible as it sounds. Get your resumes ready.
Days Inn by Wyndham is looking for a creative amateur photographer to take sun-inspired photos for the brand this summer. These photos will then be featured on the brand’s website, social media channels, and even on the walls at certain Days Inn hotels throughout the United States. And since they’re looking for an “amateur photographer,” that means you don’t need to be a full-on professional to be considered.
The opportunity is dubbed a “Sun-ternship” and consists of a full month of traveling and taking photos. As far as summer jobs go, things could be a lot worse. You won’t be confined to an office or forced to sell melting ice cream to sticky tourists. You’ll be traveling, adventuring, and staying outside as much as possible to capture some seriously amazing sun-inspired photos, whether it’s a sunrise, sunset, or something in between. Honestly, this sounds like a dream.
Whoever is selected will spend a month traveling to select “sunny” cities across America (we don’t know what those cities are, exactly, but they certainly sound promising), capturing as many photos as possible. The person who gets the job will receive a $10,000 stipend for covering all travel costs, and they’ll also receive Wyndham Rewards Diamond status, which can get you early check-in, late check-out, and potential free night stays.
So, sure, that $10,000 is going to be used for hotels, food, and transportation, but it’s essentially supporting four weeks of exploring the country, which is an incredible opportunity.
Days Inn says, “If you’re a thrill-seeker looking for new, unforgettable experiences, you might just fit the bill.”
If this sounds like your dream job, you can apply by emailing your favorite original outdoor photo and 100 words on why you’re the best person for the position to [email protected]. The deadline is May 20th, 2018, so start going through your photos now. One important note: In order to apply, you must be a U.S. resident, and you also must be at least 21 years old.
All in all, this could be an amazing opportunity for someone who loves to travel, or someone who is striving to become a professional photographer. Not only would it look great on a resume, but it would probably be a meaningful experience that you’d never forget. Now excuse us while we apply.
