“Suicide Squad” reveals that Harley Quinn is connected to Batman’s Robin in a HUGE way

HEY DID YOU SEE SUICIDE SQUAD THIS WEEKEND? If you didn’t you might want to turn away right now, because there are spoilers ahead for the movie — and for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Clearly, the breakout star of the movie is Harley Quinn, as portrayed by the mega talented Margot Robbie. Fight me if you want, but she stole absolutely every scene she was in, and we can’t wait for her own spin-off movie (please come soon, please come soon).

As we learned throughout the movie, there’s a lot we don’t yet know about Harley Quinn. But one kinda HUGE thing was revealed about her past. It was a very quick, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment, but it turns out, Harley was actually an accomplice in the death of Batman’s Boy Wonder, Robin.

This is never actually discussed during the movie, but the information flashes across the screen quickly as part of Harley’s “file.” She’s listen as an accomplice, so maybe not the one to actually kill Robin, but she had some hand in it.

It’s not entirely clear if it was The Joker who killed Robin, with Harley by his side, but probably. Written on Robin’s suit, as we saw in Dawn of Justice, was “Ha ha Jokes on you Batman” and yes, that really points to The Joker.

So what did Harley have to do with all of this? ¯_(ツ)_/¯ She’s clearly got a LOT of things to work out in her life, the main one being her love-hate relationship with The Joker, but that’s something we’re going to save for another DC Extended Universe movie.
