These students gave their teacher the pair of Vans he wanted all year, and his reaction is priceless
A California teacher’s bashful reaction to a Christmas gift from his students is giving us ALL the holiday feels.
Edgewood High School psychology teacher Taylor Kerby complimented a student on his red Vans on the first day of school, saying he’d love to have a pair himself, according to BuzzFeed.
The super-thoughtful group of students got together to give him the gift he’d wanted all year, each paying $2 toward the red shoes.
Kerby could barely contain himself after opening his present, shouting out “you guys!” while he grinned from ear to ear.
"I'm, like, the coolest kid on the block right now!" He exclaimed.
One student tweeted out a video of the sweet gesture, which quickly garnered more than 50,000 retweets, because who doesn’t love watching someone open a great gift?

Kerby himself said he was shocked at the attention the video received.
“It’s just some nerdy, weird dude opening shoes, and for some reason, 40,000 people are liking this," he told BuzzFeed in an interview. "But if it inspires teachers to be better teachers, and people to be better people, then I’m excited that it’s happening.
We hope these students made Mr. Kirby’s holiday a little brighter.
