You’re going to cry at what this high school did for a student battling leukemia
Ashley Adamietz — a cheerleader at Foothill High School in Palo Cedro, California — got a huge surprise last week at her school’s football game when each and every football player gently placed a rose at her feet.
And it was the sweetest gesture ever.
Senior cheerleader Adamietz was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia just last month, and she’s been undergoing daily chemotherapy treatments ever since.
Which means it’s probably been a pretty rough start to her senior year.
So to make sure Adamietz knew she was loved, appreciated and supported, all 57 members of the football team (as well as the opposing football team) laid orange roses at her feet. Orange being the designated color for leukemia awareness.

If you need to take a break and find a tissue, we totally get it.
The entire plan was put together by senior football player Ryan Caetano. “She’s part of the cougar family, so why not let her know that we’re all here for her,” he was quoted saying. “We are. So I wanted to let that be known to everybody, and especially to her, for what she’s going through.”
Whatta guy! And whatta team of young, caring men full of character.

Adamietz has declined requests for interviews since she’s focusing on her treatments, which makes complete sense. But she did tweet a private thank you message to the her friends, family and the football team for showing her so much love.
