This badass “Stranger Things” cover played by a cello trio will haunt you forever
As one of the greatest TV shows in recent memory, Stranger Things has very clearly made its mark on pop culture. And one of our favorite things about Stranger Things is the music. Yes, Netflix’s mega summer hit also features incredible acting, great storytelling, and a killer ’80s style, but…THE MUSIC! It’s just soooo good. Composed by Michael Stein and Kyle Dixon of the band Survive, the Stranger Things soundtrack is the perfect blend of ’80s synth nostalgia and eerie, dreamlike atmospheres. And clearly we’re not the only ones who can’t get enough!
Because this awesome cello trio covered the Stranger Things music, and it’s BADASS. Seriously, it will haunt you for daaaaays.

This video was posted by talented musician Nicholas Yee, who describes himself as, “Just a Chinese guy playing the cello!” But, coooome ooon, this is so much more than JUST playing the cello, Nicholas! This is like some seriously ethereal shit happening here. And, because achieving greatness often requires the help of others, Yee is joined by his friends and fellow cellists, Adam Caulfield and Katherine Pernal.
Nicholas is a seriously talented musician (and photographer).
Yee commented on the video explaining,
"Like many others, I was captivated by the Stranger Things series [...] and fell in love with its exciting storytelling, engrossing set design and unique blend of creepiness, nostalgia and heartwarming moments. The music adds such richness to the show and I wanted to showcase its strength and versatility in this medley."
And, honestly, we think they totally nailed it.
But if you can’t get enough of Nicholas, Adam, and Katherine’s amazing Stranger Things cover, don’t worry! Because you can download it here.
