Stranger Things is officially back in production, and this BTS video shows us Steve’s glorious Season 3 hair
Listen up, nerds: IT. IS. ON. The Stranger Things gang is finally back in Hawkins, Indiana, which only means that the production for Season 3 is now underway, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! Even though we have no idea when it’s coming, we’re already geared up for a long night (or two) to binge and witness demogorgon-fighting, truck-flipping, and dimension-bending greatness.
To get everyone hyped up for the coming season (as if we aren’t already), Netflix just released a chilling teaser to show us receipts of the cast reuniting on April 20 for what appears to be the first table read for Season 3. And in typical Stranger Things fashion, the minute-and-a-half montage featured black-and-white silhouettes of our favorite heroes, with a dark, synth-heavy background music to boot.
We see director Shawn Levy back in action, the actors’ name cards lined up on the table, the arrival of the newcomers, and most importantly, a glimpse of Joe Keery a.k.a mom of the year (no offense, Joyce) Steve Harrington’s beautiful head of hair. Given that they’re not yet filming, it was long and Farrah Fawcett hairspray-less, but glorious nonetheless.

Just like us, fans on Twitter were understandably freaking out over this Stranger Things Season 3 teaser.

At Paleyfest in March, Shawn Levy revealed that the next set of episodes would be “big and spooky” and “suspense-driven.”
"Season 3 has legitimately creepy moments and events," he divulged. "But it’s incredibly warm and character-based because at the end of the day, I think that’s what people love most about Stranger Things."
It will also introduce us to new Hawkins mainstays, including Maya Hawke, Cary Elwes, and Jake Busey. Hawke will star as Robin, an “alternative girl,” Elwes will play Mayor Kline, “your classic ’80s politician,” and Busey will have a guest spot as Bruce, a seedy journalist from The Hawkins Post. Meanwhile, Priah Ferguson — who stars as Lucas’ sister — got bumped up to a recurring role, perhaps to add another level of sass to the show. In the promo clip, she’s the only with a speaking part, pushing the camera away and saying “Get out of here, nerds!” Ha, classic Erica.
Stranger Things Season 3 is expected to stream sometime in 2019.
