Stranger Things’ Joe Keery cut his signature hairstyle into bangs and everyone is freaking out
Joe Keery is known for his role as Steve Harrington on Stranger Things, but also for his well-maintained mane of luscious brown locks that basically made the mullet hot again. But in new photos, Keery has traded in Steve’s Farrah Fawcett hairspray for a new ’90s-inspired bowl cut with bangs, and it’s raising a lot of questions. Questions such as…why? (That’s really the only question, other than how could you?)
Certain celebrities have long-been associated with their hairstyles, like Jennifer Aniston and “The Rachel,” Kit Harington and Jon Snow’s brooding curls, and Ariana Grande’s perfect high pony. But this one in particular is giving us pause: Does this mean the bowl cut is coming back in style? Will everyone be walking around in six months with gel-flattened bangs? Is Steve going to rock this hairstyle on the next season of Stranger Things? (Okay, guess we had more questions.)
In a series of photos taken at a Chanel dinner at the Chateau Marmont on September 12th, Keery showed off the new haircut, paired with a dark striped suit.
