Stop, drop, and shop: These are the cheapest days to travel this summer

Is the warm weather and approaching summer days beckoning you to somewhere faraway? Somewhere tropical, where you’ll be offered a frozen drink with one of those mini cocktail umbrellas? Perhaps you’re more of a cold weather person, and a trip to an icier climate is in order. Regardless of where you want to go, wanderlust is hitting hard. But thanks to Condé Nast Traveler, we know the cheapest day(s) to travel this summer, so your wanderlust doesn’t have to come at such a price. So no matter where you choose to travel to, we’ve got your back for those plane tickets on the low low.

If you want to score a major deal, June 6th is the cheapest day to fly. In fact, flying in the first half of June is the best way to save some major cash on your plane tickets. If you can’t get out of town that month, not to fret. Another good day to travel? August 22nd, which is the cheapest day for that month, as well as September 12th, the cheapest day of September. In fact, either of these months are cheaper than flying in July; 7% cheaper to be exact.

But if you do have to travel in July, chose July 4th to travel. It’s the cheapest day of the month, with July 3rd and 5th following closely behind. In general, this summer is shaping up to be cheaper for travel than last summer, so either way it’s a win. So pack up your suitcase and get moving, you can finally indulge your travel bug.
