Stevie Nicks, Haim, and the Foo Fighters formed the ultimate supergroup

In a decision that can only be explained by music gods, the Foo Fighters brought out two very special guests to accompany them on the Forum stage last night: the legendary Stevie Nicks and alt-rock sister-band, Haim.

The supergroup kicked off the surprise set with a cover of “Draggin’ My Heart Around,” which Stevie originally sang with Tom Petty back in 1981. The group then broke into a flawless rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s “Gold Dust Woman” off the Rumours album.

Haim later posted a picture holding one of Stevie Nicks’ signature scarves, which she gave to them before the performance. Let the envy ensue.

The bond between Stevie Nicks and the Haim sisters is not brand new. Last September, Haim met Stevie Nicks for the first time and teamed up for a stripped-down, intimate cover of “Rhiannon.” Stevie then gave the ladies matching gold moon necklaces, dubbing them “fellow sisters of the moon.”

Stevie has also had a longstanding friendship with Dave Grohl, and even dedicated “Landslide” to him back in June after he fractured his leg. She also credits him with finalizing details on her 2013 documentary, In Your Dreams. Needless to say, we’re glad these friendships materialized on stage!

The Foo Fighters will close out their second night at the Forum in Los Angeles this evening. Could another supergroup be in the works? Who knows. Let’s just watch both of these fan filmed covers!
