Actor Sterling K. Brown is campaigning to be in the new Green Lantern movie, and his efforts are so endearing. We’re rooting hard for him.
The upcoming Green Lantern Corps films will focus on both Hal Jordan and John Stewart as lead characters. The People vs OJ Simpson and This is Us actor Sterling K. Brown tweeted that he’d like to play John.
His wording is formal and respectful and totally made our eyeballs turn into hearts for a minute.
Sterling K. Brown has had the films on his radar for a while now.

Green Lantern Corps is currently scheduled for a 2020 release.

David Goyer and Justin Rhodes are co-writing. Goyer is known for his work on the Dark Knight series and Batman V Superman, while Rhodes is penning the Guillermo del Toro-directed Fantastic Voyage remake.
The film will have John Stewart retaining his origin as a Marine sniper from the animated series.
Deadline has described it “Lethal Weapon in space.”
We can think of a more enticing description than that. And, given the Lethal Weapon reference (ahem, Danny Glover), we can think of no one more perfect for the job than Sterling K. Brown.
