Stephen Hawking perfectly answers a question about Zayn Malik leaving One Direction
Who thought we would EVER be using Stephen Hawking and Zayn Malik’s names in the same sentence?
As Vanity Fair reports, Stephen Hawking just visited the Sydney Opera House to deliver a lecture on physics. During the Q&A portion of the program, a wisecracking attendee posed the following question:
“What do you think is the cosmological effect of Zayn leaving One Direction and consequently breaking the hearts of millions of teenage girls across the world?”
Hawking actually ANSWERED the question and his response is pretty brills (I mean, it’s Stephen Hawking, you ask the man a question, you’re going to get a genius answer).
“Finally, a question about something important,” Hawking said. “My advice to any heartbroken young girl is to pay close attention to the study of theoretical physics. Because one day there may well be proof of multiple universes.”
“It would not be beyond the realms of possibility that somewhere outside of our own universe lies another different universe—and in that universe, Zayn is still in One Direction.”
Hawking even went so far as to say that there may be an alternate universe for this heartbroken girl in which “…she and Zayn are happily married.”
