Stephen Colbert imagined what it would be like if Jesus gave a TED talk, and we’d watch

Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better than the Pope hosting a TED Talk, Stephen Colbert proves all of us wrong. The Late Show host imagined what it would be like if Jesus Christ himself lead a TED Talk of his own, and the visuals will totally bring you both joy and laughter.

We were completely taken aback by Pope Francis’ surprise Skype chat. Not only did the holiness bring his kindhearted analogies to life, he also dropped some gems about technology and innovation. That’s right. Pope Francis has a thing or two to say about techno-economic systems, and it ain’t pretty. However, his surprise lecture was a hard act to follow, for sure. One that the son of God himself could only top.

Dressed in the holiest of holy garb, Jesus gifted his audience with enough empowerment to last a lifetime. He talked of the time he fed thousands with a few loaves of bread and a couple of fish. And wowed guests with his ability to turn a bottle of water into red wine — live and in color. Can you even imagine?

This small clip of Jesus doing his thing is the most hilarious thing we’ve seen all day.

One of the best lines was easily, "I know what you're thinking: 'Jeez, me.' No, Jeez, us."

Needless to say, Jesus’ TED Talk would be one of the most interesting ones to date. We’d bet even Pope Francis would bid for a front row seat to witness this awesomeness live. Because it doesn’t get much better than that.

It looks like the folks over at TED Talk have their work cut out for them to find the next best speaker. We highly doubt Jesus will be available to give any live exhibitions anytime soon. In the meantime, we’ll be keeping an ear to the streets for word on their next surprise guest.
