Stephen Colbert returns to host the Kennedy Center Honors, and we can’t wait

Actor Al Pacino, pianist Martha Argerich, rock band the Eagles, singer Mavis Staples, and singer James Taylor will all be honored this year at the Kennedy Center. Recipients are honored for their lifetime achievement in their field, so basically it’s a HUGE deal. This year, Stephen Colbert returns to host the Kennedy Center Honors for the third year in a row, and we can’t wait.

The honors will be held in the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C. on December 4th. They will air in a two-hour special on CBS December 29th. It’s such an awesome night celebrating the arts, and it will be the last Kennedy Center Honors for President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, so we’re sure it will be a big night.

After two successful years of hosting, The Late Show host Stephen Colbert returns for his third year of hosting in a row.

The always entertaining Stephen has done a fabulous job hosting the awards the past few years, so we’re glad to hear that he’ll be hosting again.

Plus, that hopefully means more fun pictures of Stephen with all the honorees, like this classic with Whoopi Goldberg.

The evening promises to be an incredible night of unforgettable performances and hilarious commentary. Sounds like an awesome way to celebrate amazing people.
