Starbucks just pulled a Beyonce and dropped SIX new Frapp flavors today!
OMG, guys. The biggest news ever was just dropped today. Like, Beyonce-unexpectedly-dropping-her-fifth-album big. Grab your wallets and run over to your nearest Starbucks ASAP, because they’ve just released, not one, not two, not even three, but SIX brand new Frappuccino flavors today! Best Monday ever? Yes. Yes, it is.
But wait, why the sudden bomb of Frapps for our palettes? For the company’s 20th anniversary, Starbucks has picked six “secret” menu items (which is why a few of them might sound a little bit familiar to any SB regulars). Beginning today, you can order any of these bad boys for the Frappuccino Flav-Off. Then, from June 19th to June 30th, fans can vote on the Frappuccino site for their favorite of the flavors.
Even if you don’t get to try them all before the 30th, though, don’t worry—the non-winners won’t be going away! The real reason for the contest is that the winner will be offered at a discounted price ($3 per grande) from July 3-6 between 2 and 5 pm. Happy birthday, America. Until then, each grande will be $4.75 (looks like we may be darn close to spending $30 on coffee beverages today, but no regrets).
Here are the new flavors (drumroll, please):
Red Velvet Cake
This one will include chocolate chips, mocha sauce, and raspberry and vanilla syrup, topped with whipped cream, according to the site. We’re drooling a little bit, TBH.
Cotton Candy
If you’re feeling a little nostalgic for the youth of your childhood, this flavor will be perfect for your summer days. It’s pretty much a Vanilla Bean Creme Frapp with raspberry syrup, but it sounds perf.
Cinnamon Roll
This one’s a bit sweet and spicy, according to Starbucks. It includes cinnamon dolce syrup, white chocolate mocha sauce, and vanilla bean. And on top of the whipped cream? Cinnamon dolce sprinkle.
Lemon Bar
For the more health conscious folks who still want to get a taste of the great news, this one is about 100 calories less than the rest. It’s lemonade and vanilla together, according to the site, and it has a caramel sugar sprinkle on top.
Caramel Cocoa Cluster
This one doesn’t sound quite as straightforward as the rest, but think nuts, caramel, and mocha thrown together into a cup of amazingness.
Cupcake Frappuccino
If the thought of a cake Frapp sounds perfect to you, but you’re not big into red velvet, don’t worry—Starbucks has got you covered with their Cupcake Frapp, which is, again, the Vanilla Bean Creme. . . plus hazelnut syrup. Starbucks promises a “sip of cake flavor in every bite.”
