Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Lattes are reportedly back in a few weeks—heatwave be damned
Just days after creating a secret fall-themed Facebook group for PSL enthusiasts, and despite the fact that it is extremely hot in most parts of the country, rumor has it that the legendary Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte will return on August 28th, 2018.
We should make it very clear that Starbucks has not announced the late-August PSL return, but Business Insider shared photos of an internal Starbucks announcement that showed in-store displays advertising the August 28th return of the PSL.
If the Pumpkin Spice Latte does indeed debut before Labor Day—that would make it the earliest date in years. Last year, select customers could buy the drink on September 1st, but it wasn’t available to everyone until September 5th. According to Business Insider, the earliest PSL launch was in 2014 when it was available to select customers on August 26th. In 2015, the drink didn’t launch until September 8th. This August 28th date would be the earliest official launch of the drink ever.
On August 4th, an anonymous Starbucks employee shared a photo of the “Pumpkin Spice Flavoured Sauce” that recently arrived at their location with the caption, “it has arrived.”
While we think August 28th is maybe a bit early, you can buy single serving bottles of the stuff at grocery stores as early as next week. According to a statement from Starbucks, that also includes any PSL-related grocery products like Pumpkin Spice Flavored Ground Coffee K-Cup Pods.
I am SO READY for the pumpkin spice latte @Starbucks !!!
