Starbucks added a new ingredient to the PSL and we are now happy dancing
We may still be stuck in the dead of August, but that doesn’t mean pumpkin spice lovers aren’t already dreaming about the cooler months to come. Which is good, because they’re in for a real treat. Last summer, Starbucks received intense backlash after high-profile blogger Food Babe revealed that their much-coveted Pumpkin Spice Latte contained, uh, no pumpkin. But this year, they’ve shaped up, eliminating the caramel coloring found in previous versions of the drink and adding the real deal: pumpkin puree.
The news broke today over on Starbucks’ blog, with Peter Dukes writing:
If this sounds too good to be true, here’s proof: a pic of Starbucks’ pumpkin spice flavored sauce (now made with 2 percent pumpkin puree!). Yup, it’s REALLY, REALLY HAPPENING! Pumpkins for all! I can practically feel the crisp air and hear the leaves crunching under my feet!

As of last summer, Starbucks had sold over 200 million PSLs since their creation in 2003. With this added ingredient, this year might just be their biggest yet. I think I speak for everyone when I say:
