You should totally be excited about Starbucks’ new holiday drink

We know the holiday season is truly on its way when Starbucks busts out their seasonal menu. And you know what brings about even more holiday cheer? Brand new items on that seasonal menu. According to Refinery29, we can expect just that when the red cups start arriving, once the spookiness of Halloween is behind us.

This discovery comes after Starbucks reported its Q4 earnings which, if you want to read them, are here, but if numbers scare you and you just want to get to the good stuff, let us pull out the relevant part for you:

Unfortunately, that’s literally all they say about it.

Their flat white, which debuted at the beginning of this year, takes an Australian approach to coffee. Specifically, it’s “an espresso beverage made with two ristretto shots, combined with a thin layer of velvety steamed whole milk and finished with a latte art dot. A ristretto shot delivers a sweeter, more intense coffee flavor,” according to their website.

Their regular seasonal offerings include things like the classic Peppermint Mocha, Chesnut Praline Latte, and Caramel Brulee Latte. Perhaps it’s a combination of the new flat white with their more typical seasonal offerings? If my math is correct, Peppermint Mocha + flat white = Heaven. What we love most about this (and why you should be excited) is that the flat white is DELICIOUS. It contains the perfect amount of milk and espresso —so whatever Starbucks has in mind for the holidays, we know it’s going to be yummy.

We don’t have the exact release date for this new drink, but CountdownTo#RedCups (a real website!) estimates November 3rd. I’m not telling you to camp outside your nearest Starbucks until they open Tuesday morning, but I’m not telling you not to do it either.
