Starbucks has a new mango-dragonfruit drink on its menu, and summer came early

Is there anything better than when Starbucks adds a new drink to its menu? We’ll answer that for you: there is not. And this time, the latest menu addition couldn’t be more perfect for summer. On Tuesday, June 19th, the company added a Mango Dragonfruit Refresher to its permanent menu, and as long as you live in the U.S. or Canada, you’re all set to try out this fruity iced drink.
Starbucks says the Mango Dragonfruit Refresher is made with real pieces of dragonfruit mixed into the drink. The menu describes it as “a refreshing combination of sweet mango and dragonfruit flavors, hand-shaken with ice and a scoop of real diced dragon fruit.” If you’re already a fan of the Refreshers drink series, you’re definitely going to want to try this — and a Grande is under 100 calories, so it’s a light and yummy pick-me-up for when you need it.
Best of all, this drink not only sounds delicious, but it’s also a gorgeous magenta color — totally suitable for Instagram.
Look how pretty:
Plus, the drink is super customizable. Remember the Pink Drink everyone went nuts over a while back? You can ask for coconut milk instead of water in the Mango Dragonfruit Refresher to give it that pink ombré effect — which Starbucks has already dubbed the “Dragon Drink” — and it can also be made with lemonade.
“Even the name dragonfruit sounds magical,” Alicia Binion, who works with Starbucks research and development, said in a press release. “It’s one of those up-and-coming flavors. The red-fleshed fruit is less common and helps make this drink so fun and unique.”
Delicious, beautiful, and looks good on Instagram. What more could you possibly ask for?
