Starbucks Japan’s new drink is basically apple pie in a cup, and we need it in the States ASAP
Every now and again, a chain will release a curiously delicious-sounding menu item that, tragically, isn’t available in the US. Yesterday, it was Taco Bell Philippines’ Cheetos Quesadilla. Today, it’s Starbucks Japan’s Hot Baked Apple Pie Latte.
Oh yes, you read that right. The drink is made from applesauce, brown sugar, butter, and crushed apple bits.
We’re going to pause here to let you take that in. Applesauce. Brown sugar. Butter. Crushed apple bits. Add coffee, and you might have just created my idea of heaven.
But, because sometimes life isn’t fair, the confectionary coffee isn’t available at U.S. Starbucks locations – yet. Maybe Starbucks will change their mind if we tweet at them enough.

The coffee chain did just announce a brand spankin’ new drink for US stores’ menu: Snickerdoodle Hot Chocolate. Admittedly, that sounds freaking delicious, so I guess the news isn’t all bad today.
Happy #RedCupSeason, my friends! May your days be merry, caffeinated, and bright.
