The new ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ teaser just dropped. Commence freakout!

Official countdown to Star Wars: The Force Awakens sits at 112 days (thanks for keeping track, Star Wars app for iOS!). It’s about time promos for Episode VII started kicking into high gear, and earlier today we got a brand new one. There’s been an awakening, and we can feel it alright. You don’t have to ask us twice.

Mostly everything about Force Awakens is being kept under lock and key, and then frozen in Carbonite. Even though there are only 112 days to go, we don’t know a whole lot. Who’s good, who’s bad? More importantly, who’s a Jedi? Now it looks like one of those questions may have been answered. Maybe.

The Instagram account for Star Wars  just dropped a MAJOR 15-second teaser on us. It features an opening shot of Adam Driver’s Ren looking out on The First Order. Then we get a shot of Daisy Ridley’s Rey, along with droid BB-8, looking worried (but it’s just Rey looking worried since BB-8 can’t exactly make facial features). BUT THEN, the main event comes when we see Ren light up his three-pronged lightsaber to square off against who? John Boyega’s Finn who has a lightsaber himself.

SO MANY QUESTIONS. OK, for starters we know at one point Finn was a Stormtrooper, since we’ve seen him in that white battle armor. He clearly breaks off from them, and that’s when he meets Rey. But is he a Jedi?? Is he a former-Stormtrooper turned Jedi Knight? If so, that sounds like an amazing hero’s journey.

And if you really want to get into Star Wars mythology, whose lightsaber is that, and might it have belonged to someone like… Luke Skywalker, and his father, Anakin, before him?
