“Star Wars” has revealed the title of the young Han Solo movie, and TBH it’s very boring

Well Star Wars fans, Ron Howard would like to formally introduce you to Solo: A Star Wars Story.

That’s right, after months of anticipation and a *whole* lot of drama, the previously untitled Han Solo film finally has a name….and tbh it’s a little meh. The director took to Twitter to thank the cast and crew for their work on the standalone Star Wars film (they just wrapped production). Howard went on thank fans for playing along as he posted cryptic photos from the set before being handed the film’s official title card by (probably) Chewbacca.

Despite the only ~okay~ name, Howard’s unveiling is as adorable as we could have expected:

The A Beautiful Mind director stepped in to finish the film after Phil Lord and Chris Miller exited the project with just a few weeks left of filming. Their exit followed ongoing clashes with LucasFilm president Kathleen Kennedy and longtime producer Lawrence Kasdan, who co-wrote Solo with his son, Jon Kasdan. Production was briefly delayed as Howard took over the reigns for three months of reshoots.

The film follows the young smuggler and his partner in crime, Chewbacca, on their exploits as they cross paths with Lando Calrissian and win the Millennium Falcon, become tangled up with Jabba the Hutt, and maybe even make the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs, based on Howard’s ominous photo.

The film boasts a star-studded cast, with Alden Ehrenreich playing as the titular Han Solo, Donald Glover taking on Lando Calrissian, Joonas Suotamo playing the iconic Wookiee, and Woody Harrelson starring as the young smuggler’s mentor. Rounding out the cast are Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Paul Bettany, Clint Howard, and Warwick Davis as in undisclosed roles.

Start practicing the Kessel Run now because Solo: A Star Wars Story is set for release on May 25, 2018.
