Samuel L. Jackson will not rest until he gets his own “Star Wars” spinoff about Mace Windu

In case you thought Samuel L. Jackson’s role as Mace Windu in Star Wars couldn’t continue because of obvious reasons, the man himself insisted that Mace Windu should and totally could return. You read that right! At Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, Samuel L. Jackson says Mace Windu is alive and ready for his close up.

If you don’t see a body, it totally means someone could still be alive, right?! At least, that’s what  Jackson thinks when it comes to his Star Wars character Mace Windu. The character ~supposedly~ fell to his death in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith

At the 40th Anniversary panel at Star Wars Celebration, actors from over the years reminisced with creator George Lucas — which is when Samuel L. Jackson decided to bring up his desire to see Mace Windu alive and possibly with his own movie?! Here’s what Jackson thinks happened to Mace Windu:

"While you’re all sitting there, I know you’re all in my corner on this, we know Jedi can fall from incredible heights and survive. So, apparently, I am not dead! Yes, I have two appendages right now, but we know the long and rich history of Star Wars characters reappearing with new appendages and being stronger and better than they ever were. Mace Windu is awaiting his return. Let’s make it happen."

Now that Lucasfilm knows very clearly that Samuel L. Jackson is in for a Mace Windu movie, could we please make this happen?! Stay tuned for more awesome news from Star Wars Celebration which is taking place in Orlando. And if you’re lucky enough to attend, May The Force Be With You.
