Watch her wield that lightsaber with ferocity. Then, watch it again. After three or four times, you should be prepared to seize your day with the same level of intensity. And, you know, handle your business as deftly as Rey does a lightsaber.
It’s beyond inspiring that a new generation of Star Wars fans gets to grow up with an iconic, female badass like Rey, following in the footsteps of General Leia Organa — who made it clear that she wasn’t a damsel in distress from the very beginning of the series.
Remember the moment in The Force Awakens when Rey flies the Millennium Falcon? How your heart felt when you saw her wield a lightsaber for the first time? If this Last Jedi teaser is any indication, the new Star Wars sequel is going to be two and a half hours of just that feeling.
