Star Wars ice-cream is here and it’s out of this galaxy
Do you like Star Wars? Do you like ice cream? Do you like showing your fondness for Star Wars while eating ice cream? Well then sister, have I got the thing for you.
Ample Hills Creamery in Brooklyn is getting into the Sith Lord spirit by cranking out two galaxy-inspired flavors: “The Light Side” and “The Dark Side.” Though for my money, “The Light Side” would have been a fro-yo, dairy-free, ~healthy~ flavor. I’m thankful it’s not because no one should be deprived of “a bright marshmallow ice cream with homemade crispie clusters, as well as a smattering of handmade cocoa crispies (to represent the dark side still lurking within the light),” as it’s described on the creamery’s website.
“The Dark Side” is decidedly more decadent with, “an ultra-dark chocolate ice cream with espresso fudge brownies, cocoa crispies, and white chocolate pearls (to represent the light still hiding in the dark, waiting to burst through).”
You don’t have to be a Brooklyn-local to eat like an X-wing pilot, though. You can order the pints by snail mail, with an option to hurry up that millennium falcon’s giddy-up so it can make it to your 6-movie marathon party in time. Now I pray you use the “force” and demonstrate restraint by not calling your friend who gobbles it up before anyone else pulls a real, “Jabba” (even if that’s SUCH a Jabba thing to do).
