BB-8 just met Prince William and Harry at the “Star Wars” premiere, and the super respectful droid *bowed*

It’s kind of a big deal to meet the royal family, and it’s clear that everyone’s favorite Star Wars droid was prepped for the occasion. On the red carpet for the European premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, BB-8 rolled over to say hello to Prince William and Harry and, boy, did the droid greet the two as properly as he could. BB-8 actually *bowed.* Someone went through etiquette lessons, and clearly paid attention.

Yes, the roly-poly droid scooted over to the two Princes, exchanged some pleasantry beeps with the the royals, and then bowed as best he could, which is really just like, leaning his droid body forward and bowing his head. But listen, it’s the principal of the gesture, and it’s clear that though he can be sassy at times (read: most of the time), he is nothing but respectful and sweet. Adorable.

Kensington Place shared a video of the moment, and it’s almost two adorable for words:

The official UK Star Wars Twitter account also caught the show of respect:

THAT BOW. THAT RESPECT. BB-8 should get his own Star Wars spinoff, just saying. The internet completely fell in love with this little sign of decorum, and clearly can’t get enough.

The Last Jedi hits theaters on December 15th, and let’s hope this is only just the beginning of BB-8’s world tour where he meets important dignitaries and poses for precious pictures.
